Social responsibility

Across Cambridge Newton Capital we are involved in and run a number of community and charity initiatives.

Throughout the year employees are involved in charitable activity for our nominated staff charities, as well as a number of other worthy causes. The Cambridge Newton Capital Giving Scheme encourages staff to fundraise and volunteer by matching 50% of the funds raised, or donating £8 per hour of voluntary time given by employees.

Since 2015, the Group has also partnered with a primary school local to our London offices, where volunteers from the business spend their lunch breaks reading to children who are struggling or do not have the time to practise at home. A number of our staff take part in this scheme every year.

At Cambridge Newton Capital we run the pioneering Trustee Leadership Programme, in association with Cause 4. Employees and external participants attend a series of evening sessions to learn the skills and gain the confidence to join a charity as a board member. The Programme aims to bring new trustees onto charity boards, enabling the charities to benefit from fresh approaches and increased diversity of opinions.
